Summary Description

Assist and train as directed by Senior Harley-Davidson Technicians and provide any assistance that is needed in maintaining the Service Department.

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • General understanding Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and Products

  • Mechanical experience

  • Ability to use computer diagnostic tools

  • Dependable, organized, positive attitude and self-motivated.

  • Valid driver's license with Motorcycle endorsement (NO DUIs considered)

  • Able to work Saturdays and overtime if needed.

  • Required to walk, push, and unload motorcycles. Frequently required to stand, lift heavy objects, stoop, and work in a loud environment.

  • Must be able to provide proof of prior work experience.

  • Good communication skills and excellent attention to detail.

Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to accurately follow diagnostic charts and part instructions both written and visually.

  • Must be able to communicate repairs necessary both verbally and in writing.

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to safety and quality workmanship.

  • The ability to follow safety guidelines both in the workshop and when out on test rides.

  • Proficient in meeting deadlines and completing work productively and profitably.

  • Abide by all shop policies

  • Follow company dress codes

  • Any other specific duties deemed necessary for the overall success of the department and the dealership as a whole.

  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all other employees.

  • From time to time work evenings and extra shifts to assist in company productivity with minimal tardiness.

Qualifications:

  • Clean Driving Record

  • Motorcycle License

  • Must Pass a Drug Test

Preferred (But Not Required):

  • MMI or formal mechanical training

  • Owns or Owned a Harley-Davidson

  • Worked at a Motorcycle Shop/Dealership

Please Do Not Apply If You Have The Following:

  • Bad Driving Record, Ie. DUI, Accidents, Tickets, Expired License

  • Can't Pass a Drug Test On a Periodic Check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

  • Motorcycle & Powersports Mechanics: 1 year (Required)
